I truly loved working with Sonya and Maryna. Their balance of empathy, candidness, intelligence and patience with me was phenomenal. Thinking about the complexity of the phases of the process was overwhelming, and seemed impossible, but you walked me right through “allowing” me to think I owned it. Getting me started with the interviewing and first draft, my realizing my need to own the writing, getting to completion, and the editing to publishing process was the most challenging and rewarding experience of my life really.
It was challenging to complete the writing while my life was busy with so many other things to do. Maintaining my cool when I was overwhelmed and sitting with the process was hard, but once I knew what I wanted to say, I wanted to work on it.
The most fun part of the process was watching it come together towards the end, knowing that we were actually going to complete it. By far the most rewarding moment for me was holding the REAL book in my hands – the cover, the layout and reality that we did it!!
